Advantages
The ultra-low frequency vlf hipot test is actually an alternative to the power frequency withstand voltage test. When the power frequency withstand voltage test is carried out on the large and medium-sized generators, motors, power cables, etc., because their insulating layers have a large capacitance, a large-capacity test transformer or resonant transformer is required. Such huge devices are not only cumbersome and expensive, but also very inconvenient to use.
In order to solve this contradiction, the method of reducing the test frequency and thus the capacity of the test power supply is generally adopted internationally. It has been proved from many years of theory and practice at home and abroad that replacing the power frequency withstand voltage test with the 0.1Hz ultra-low frequency withstand voltage test can not only have the same equivalence, but also greatly reduce the size and weight of the equipment. It is about one-fifth of the power frequency, and the operation is simple. This is the main reason why developed countries generally adopt this method.
According to the actual situation of my country’s power system, the National Development and Reform Commission has formulated the industry standard of “Ultra-low frequency (0.1Hz) withstand voltage test method for XLPE insulated power cables of 35kV and below”. General technical conditions DL/T 849.4-2004″, my country is promoting this latest test method. Although the DC withstand voltage test equipment has the advantages of small size, light weight and low cost, the DC withstand voltage test is also the most destructive to the insulation of the tested product. Therefore, the latest regulations related to the preventive test of electrical equipment promulgated by the state have expressly stipulated that the DC high voltage is no longer used for the withstand voltage test of electrical equipment, and the AC withstand voltage test is recommended.
Our ASVLF series ultra-low frequency vlf hipot test kit adopts the latest power electronic components and the latest ARM7 single-chip technology, which further reduces the size and weight of the equipment, fool-like operation, and more stable performance, which overcomes the first generation. The mechanical booster has the disadvantages of short service life, high failure rate and large size. Through years of practice, feedback from a large number of users shows that this series of ultra-low frequency and high voltage technology is leading and cost-effective!
